Legal
Privacy policy and terms of service for Battlemap Slicer.
Last updated: August 24, 2026
1. The service
Battlemap Slicer is a FutureHax product. By using it you agree to these terms and to any product-specific notices shown in the app.
2. Accounts
Some features require signing in. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. We store account identifiers (such as email) and license status needed to operate the service.
3. Purchases and memberships
Paid access may be sold as a one-time purchase (processed by our merchant of record, such as Lemon Squeezy) and/or granted through a qualifying r2Plays / FutureHax Patreon membership. One-time purchases remain tied to your account. Patreon-based access remains active while your qualifying membership is active.
4. Refunds
If Battlemap Slicer does not work for you, contact us within 14 days of a one-time purchase and we will make it right. Refunds for store purchases are processed through the merchant of record.
5. Your content
You retain rights to content you create or upload. You are responsible for having the rights to use that content. Do not upload unlawful material or content you do not have permission to use.
6. Acceptable use
Do not circumvent license checks, resell access, attack the service, or abuse shared infrastructure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
7. Disclaimer
Battlemap Slicer is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FutureHax is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and coarse product outcomes such as completing wizard steps, exporting PDFs, using backups, and purchase or entitlement results. Google Analytics uses browser and device identifiers. When you sign in, we associate events with your Firebase Auth UID, not your email or display name. Google processes this data under its privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Dungeon names, filenames, map images, image data, and room geometry stay in your browser and are not sent to Analytics.
Account controls
While signed in, Account lets you clear library data (IndexedDB maps for this account on this browser) without removing your Google sign-in, license, or purchase history, or delete your account entirely (Auth user plus the Firestore users/{uid} tree). Purchase stubs may be retained under top-level purchases for accounting. The shared demo library is never deleted by these controls.

FutureHax respects your privacy. This policy explains what information Battlemap Slicer collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Overview
Battlemap Slicer is local-first. Your dungeon maps, room cutouts, and map images are stored in IndexedDB on this device under your signed-in account. We do not sync map libraries to Firestore or Firebase Storage. Account profile, license, and purchase records are stored in Firestore so we can authenticate you and unlock full access.
2. Information we collect
Depending on which features you use, we may process:
- Account profile details from your sign-in provider (such as email, display name, and avatar URL)
- License and entitlement records (purchase status, Patreon tier checks, optional CMS download keys)
- Purchase metadata from our merchant of record (order id, email, timestamps), not full payment card numbers
- Technical logs needed to operate and secure the service (for example request diagnostics without storing passwords)
3. How we use your information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate you and maintain sessions
- Determine product access (purchase and/or Patreon)
- Process and reconcile purchases
- Provide support and improve reliability
4. Information we do not sell
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for marketing.
5. Cookies and browser storage
Battlemap Slicer may use essential cookies or local browser storage required for sign-in, preferences, and client-side features. We do not use non-essential advertising trackers.
6. Third-party services
We rely on trusted providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Authentication / cloud providers used by the product (for example Google Firebase where configured)
- Lemon Squeezy or another merchant of record for payments
- FutureHax CMS for Patreon membership lookup by email when entitlements are linked that way
- Email delivery (such as SendGrid) when you contact us through a contact form
- Hosting and CDN infrastructure for delivering the application
7. Data security
We use industry-standard practices including HTTPS and provider controls for data at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; keep your account and devices secure.
8. Retention
Account and license records are retained while needed to provide access, support, accounting, and fraud prevention. Library maps remain in IndexedDB until you remove them, clear library data from Account, or delete your account. Purchase records may be retained separately for accounting, fraud prevention, and license verification after account deletion.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold. You can clear library data or delete your account from Account while signed in. You can also contact us to make a request. We will respond within applicable timeframes.
10. Children's privacy
Battlemap Slicer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
11. International users
Battlemap Slicer is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
